Removing layer effects


    You can remove individual effects from a layer style and remove a style from the layer.

To remove an effect from a style:

  1. In the Layers palette, expand the layer style so you can see its effects.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Drag the effect to the Trash button.
    • (ImageReady) Select the effect, and choose Delete Effect from the Layers palette menu.

To remove a style from a layer:

  1. In the Layers palette, select the layer containing the style you want to remove.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • In the Layers palette, drag the Effects bar to the Trash button.
    • Choose Layer > Layer Style > Clear Layer Style.
    • Select the layer, and then click the Clear Style button Cancel button at the bottom of the Styles palette.
    • (ImageReady) Select an effect in the Layers palette, and choose Delete All Effects from the Layers palette menu.
