Averaging anchor points
The Average command lets you move two or more anchor points (on the same path or on different paths) to a position that is the average of their current locations.
To average anchor points:
- Use the direct-selection tool
to select two or more anchor points. (See Selecting objects.) - Choose Object > Path > Average.
- Choose to average along both axes, or the horizontal (x) axis only, or the vertical (y) axis only, and click OK.
